We believe that Debbie and Carol established Woodlands Nursery out of a genuine love for children, rather than simply as a commercial enterprise to make a profit. Alongside their wonderful staff, they are dedicated to keeping the kids healthy and happy, helping them grow and develop steadily through thoughtfully designed and tirelessly executed fun and educational activities. Just to name a few examples: pirate parties, paddling pool days, visits to care homes and libraries, and trips to the manor farm.
Our daughter was born during the pandemic, and since we live far from both sets of grandparents, we, her parents, were the only people she really knew. We were concerned about her social skills, but once she turned two and was old enough to attend Woodlands Nursery, all our worries disappeared. The nursery truly became an extended family for her, where she received loving care, grew more confident, and formed her first friendships.
Despite working with a limited budget, they have managed to provide nutritious and healthy food for the children. And despite the limited space, they have creatively set up different areas for the kids to explore. They are also great at sending prompt updates through the Blossom app, complete with photos of our daughter engaging in arts and crafts, learning to count with her carers, or having fun with her little friends. It’s so reassuring for us as parents. We no longer feel guilty—she is better off at Woodlands than she would be at home with us!
We feel incredibly blessed to have Woodlands as our daughter’s nursery. We have never once regretted not sending her to a “big brand” nursery. In fact, we have just one complaint: we are so sad that she has to leave for primary school! If Woodlands had an associated primary school, we would happily stay on!
